At the beginning of the meeting, a presentation titled ‘Establishment of ‘Employee-Friendly ’Business Culture in Institutions and ‘Balanced Work-Life ’Practices was given.
In this context, a presentation based on one of Dr. Cangül Tosun’s articles titled '‘Employee-Friendly Culture and‘ Work-Life Balance ’Policies” that was taken from the Journal of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Anahtar, May 2019 issue was delivered.
In this regard, negotiations were held on measures to be taken in the context of ‘happy and productive employees and Chambers / Commodity Exchanges with high institutional capacity’. Mardin Chambers / Commodity Exchanges gave information about the best practices they conducted during the period. The special agenda item of the meeting was the projects and field studies conducted in cooperation with Mardin Artuklu University, some of which are as follows:
Research on fairwith MAGROTEX19 firms,
Research on the Agriculture-Livestock structure of Mardin with MAGROTEX’19 firms,
Research on Bank-sector relations with Mardin Province / District Banks,
Member Satisfaction Survey.
Such cooperation was decided to be continued in the new period. Also, goodwill towards more extensive joint academic work with MAU was reiterated.
Another issue addressed at the meeting was related to the economic structure of Mardin and Southeastern Anatolia Region. In this context, Mardin's and South Eastern Anatolian Region's share in Turkey's Gross National Product (GPD) was exmained and ideas on the promotion of GPD and what steps to be taken was exchanged. In order to increase this share , Chambers/Exchanges emphasized the investments for infrasturcture-superstructure that need to be made and the incentive/support programs for sectors with high added value. Negotiations were conducted on cooperation with all Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and related institutions in the region and conducting joint activities in order to bring out the current economic potential.
The 16. Joint Meeting was decided to be hosted by Nusaybin Commodity Exchange in December 2019.
