MARKAP, a non-governmental initiative created by the University, Development Agency, Chambers/Stock Exchanges, Organized Industrial Zone, Flour-Bulgur wheat -Textile Industrialists‘ Associations and Chamber of Artisans and Artisans in Mardin on a voluntary basis and aiming to contribute to the solution of these by identifying the socio-economic problems of the city/region and contacting the relevant institutions/organizations, addressed Mardin's airline transportation problem.
During the negotiations, attention was drawn to the low number of flights in Mardin and the need for the relevant institutions to find a solution to this problem was emphasized.
”The number of flights in Mardin is insufficient," MARKAP members said, and made the following statement: the current number of flights in Mardin does not allow domestic and foreign tourists to arrive and return to Mardin under favorable conditions. In this context, especially business people face serious difficulties in terms of time. For this purpose, the number of flights should be reorganized and the number of flights should be increased accordingly.
In this context, MARKAP member Mardin Province/Districts Chambers / Stock Exchanges also signed by creating a joint request text and decided to forward them to the Ministry of Transportation and THY.
MARKAP will continue its activities aimed at solving such socio-economic problems of Mardin and the region through lobbying activities.
