At TOBB Turkish economic council hosted by Hisarcýklýoðlu, President helper Cevdet Yilmaz and chamber-stock exchange presidents, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Þimþek, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Iþýkhan, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ýbrahim Yumaklý, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacýr, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar and Presidential Strategy and Budget Chairman Ibrahim Þenel attended the meeting.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcýklýoðlu, in his speech, said that the economic councils, launched on the Decrees of President Recep Tayyip Erdoðan, are a very important platform where the public and private sectors come together and can communicate their problems and suggestions directly to the executive authority.
Pointing out that many of the issues raised on this platform have been resolved in the past, Hisarcýklýoðlu explained that President Erdogan convene the economy council again at the TOBB General Assembly and that he found it appropriate.
Hisarcýklýoðlu stated that he believes that solutions will be made regarding the issues raised here as in the past and said, "The most important thing for us is to see our state with us as it is today. Of course, we are experiencing some difficulties in the economy. But we do not give up, we definitely struggle."

If we want the abundance of growth to be reflected in all segments, we must support our SME's and ensure that they reach appropriate financing opportunities. Secondly, we have the strictest labor market in the OECD rigidity index, including the Nordic countries. Everyone suffers from this too. Our legislation almost discourages entrepreneurs who can provide more employment from doing so. It also prevents our citizens from reaching more job opportunities and earning more. Working life should be viewed with an approach that rewards employment, not punishes it."
